Location We stayed in a place called Griebal a few Miles outside, Ainsa in Northern Spain about 3 hours drive from Barcelona

Griebal is actually an old Spanish village but when the reservoir was created in the valley below the town, and all the Farm land was under water the village was slowly abandoned.
In 1990 the town of Griebal and the surrounding 700 hectares was given to the Local Scout Region with the Proviso that the area would become center of services for the young people of the region/Spain and the whole of Europe.

Since 1990 volunteers have completed the reconstruction of the main area of Greibal and work has begun on converting one of the derelict Farm houses into a conference centre.
