What do you do
All Explorer Scouts unit have to visit the the 8 Programme zones, these are designed to keep the activities interesting and varied.
The 8 zones are- Outdoors - Do Something Outdoors
- Could be a nature walk in the local park or a walk in the Snowdon mountain range. - Skills - Try a new Skill -
e.g. Photography, Climbing, Computers, Water sports, Chess, anything really. - Physical Recreation - Some Physical Activity
- Scuba Diving, Football etc - Community Service - Helping with the Community
- Could be Helping at Cub Scouts or Help on a conservation project - Environment - Looking at Environmental issues this could be doing an 'Energy Audit' of your meeting place to taking part in a Plant a tree campaign
- International - Developing an Understanding of other
countries.
You could try cooking a Mexican meal for the Unit or making a structure out of 'African' Bricks - Values - Looking at the ways you live your Life
- could be designing your own tombstone or finding out how far you can go in self defence. - Relationships - Learning to live and work with other
people -
Finding out the hazards in your meeting place for a visually impaired person or
finding out your unit members personal heroes.
